Daily Mindfulness and Affirmations

This class helps your child improve their self esteem, reduce anxiety, relieve stress, and boost their confidence!

Your child will meet daily with a guidance counselor to work towards strengthening their attention and reaffirming the best version of ourselves through affirmations and mindfulness. This class is perfect for your child if they need to find more peace of mind.

Class Experience

In this class, we will be working on mindfulness and affirmations. We will discuss the importance of them and how they benefit our daily life. Each class we will start out with our "hellos". This will be a chance to express themselves and build community. Many students love this part of class because it gives them a space to express themselves and talk about their life in a safe space.

We will then focus in with a short “meditation” usually this is a time to stop and breathe.

After we are focused, we will practice a mindfulness activity. This could involve, Body scans, focusing in on our 5 senses, using imagery, and practicing gratitude. Then we will move into a time for affirmations.

Each day we will have a consistent class. This means students can join at any time! This class is meant to be short, brief and consistent (15 min each day). These are mental exercises, and just like physical exercise the more consistent you are the greater the benefit you will see.

This is a beneficial class for your child if they are dealing with anger issues, low self-esteem, lack of focus, lack of motivation, anxiety, impulse issues, outbursts, and/or any other social emotional issues.

A student will only receive what they put into it! It is important for you, the parent at home, to take an interest in mindfulness and affirmations. If you can practice these things at home on a consistent basis it will drastically benefit your child.

  • This class is almost essential for home learners. The teacher is inspirational and his content entirely relevant to the childs life experience. He encourages the kids to share thoughts or concerns (which my son often does- it is ok to complain about parents!) nd Mr. Chad helps the kids process their emotions and thoughts in a positive way. He really brings home the concept of mindfulness, breathing, being responsible and taking ownership of your life and this is especially important for my only child (teen!) who likes to sit back and essentially be served like he was 5. Join this class - you as a parent will benefit as well as your child.
